Privacy Policy

Trelis Router ("the Service") is operated by Trelis Ltd (Blackrock, Dublin, Ireland; reg. 705524). It provides batch speech-to-text and text-to-speech through bring-your-own-key (BYOK) providers and Trelis-managed models. For BYOK providers, you supply your own provider API keys and we proxy your requests to those providers.

What we collect

  • Account: your email and provider user ID from GitHub or Google sign-in, and an optional nickname.
  • Provider API keys: stored encrypted at rest; Trelis API keys are stored only as hashes.
  • Usage records: per request — model used, audio duration/character count, processing time, status, cost, and timestamps.
  • Billing: a Stripe customer ID and credit balance. Card details are handled by Stripe; we never see them.

Audio, text & transcripts

Synchronous transcription stores nothing: your audio streams to the provider and the transcript is returned in the response — neither is retained. Batch jobs hold the audio only until the job completes or fails, then delete it. Batch results — transcripts, and for text-to-speech the submitted text and generated audio — are held for 1 hour after the job finishes so you can fetch them, then permanently deleted. Only usage metadata (model, duration, cost, timestamps) is retained. You can request deletion of your account at any time by emailing hello@trelis.com. We do not use your audio, text, or transcripts to train models.

Who we share with

Only the services needed to run your request: the ASR/TTS provider or Trelis-managed model backend you choose, Stripe (payments), SendGrid (transactional email), and GitHub/Google (sign-in). We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Cookies

Only what's required to run the Service: a signed session cookie, a CSRF token, and a short-lived sign-in state cookie. No advertising or tracking cookies.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data — including your account — by contacting hello@trelis.com.
